Ungewöhnliche Ausflüge mit Hund / Unusual places to visit with dogs

Unsere Blogger-Freundin Peggy hat kürzlich in einem Post gefragt, was der außergewöhnlichste Ort war, an den wir unsere Hunde mitgenommen haben. Üblicherweise nehmen wir Snoop & Emily nur zu Ausflügen mit, die sie wirklich genießen: Ein langer Spaziergang im Wald, eine ausgiebige Spielstunde auf der Hundewiese, ein gemütlicher Besuch bei Martha & Lotte,... Ziemlich langweilig, wenn man bedenkt, dass Peggy sogar mit auf Hochzeitsreise war!

Beim Grübeln ist mir dann doch eingefallen, dass ich Snoop ab und an mit in meine alte Unibib genommen habe, um Bücher abzuholen. Ich habe in einem alten Barockschloss studiert und für ihn war es ein echtes Abenteuer, die ganzen Gänge auf dem Weg zur Bibliothek mit seiner Nase zu erschnüffeln. In der Bib war Snoop selbstverständlich eine willkommene Abwechslung und er hat es absolut geliebt, von den Studenten in der Schlange geknuddelt zu werden.

Bücherei ist zwar nicht gleich Hochzeitsreise, aber wir sind immer auf der Suche nach spannenden Plätzen für Snoop und Emily. Ganz groß auf der Liste steht dieses Jahr auch ein kleiner Hunde-Urlaub an der Nordsee...

Und nun zu euch: Was ist der aufregendste Platz, den eure Vierbeiner bisher besuchen durften?

Our blogger friend Peggy asked in a recent post about the most unusual place we've taken our pets. We usually take Snoop and Emily only to places they really enjoy: a walk in the forest, playtime with their friends, a relaxing visit at Martha & Lotte,... Quite boring if you imagine that Peggy even went on honeymoon with her family!

But thinking about Peggy's question, I remembered that I used to take Snoop to my old University library to pick up books. I used to study in a real baroque castle in Germany and for him it was a big adventure to explore all the yards and little hallways on the way to the library. He loved the attention and  being cuddled by all the other students waiting in line. 

Still, we're always looking for lovely places we could take our dogs. And my wish for this summer is to spend a week on a real doggy holiday with them somewhere at the North Sea...
